East-West is responsible for the direct placement and management of our investments, even when joint-venturing with quality partners.  We do not redistribute funds to other funds, thereby creating a second layer of overhead to erode investor returns.  By remaining nimble, focused and entrepreneurial, the best deals are prospected and procured.  We respond quickly to market and economic shifts in order to amplify the upside (or truncate the downside) of transactions.  We are proud of our disciplined underwriting and our 100% disposition strategy in 2006 and 2007 which left the company with zero legacy assets as the real estate property and capital markets deflated in 2008 and 2009.
