A World of Real Estate Opportunities

All real estate deals are defined by their Market, Sector and Structure, which can be represented by the three axes (x, y, z) of a sphere, inside of which resides the entire world of real estate opportunities.  At any point in time, somewhere within the sphere, there is a market, with a property, which if structured correctly, will prove an enriching investment. When the global economy deflates and prices fall, the sphere becomes denser, reflecting a smaller number of opportunities, but a greater percentage of good opportunities.  On the other hand, when the global economy inflates, the sphere becomes more porous, reflecting a larger number of opportunities, but a lesser percentage of good opportunities.

This cyclical nature of the real estate landscape is analogous to the sphere revolving.  By concentrating investment activity during the cycle's early expansionary phase, overall risk is minimized and investors ride a wave of broad market appreciation.  Further, by carefully navigating along all three axes of the sphere, East-West can avail itself of the best investments in each Market, Sector and Structure, and thus, avoid the risks associated with traditional market-focused, single-sector, and uniform-structure approaches.

This copyrighted paradigm is affectionately known as the "Beer Sphere," in recognition of its developer, one of East-West's founding members.
