The Team

Jeff C. Padden is a Managing Director and Co-Founder of East-West, leading the firm's Investment Advisory Group and focusing primarily on negotiating and structuring venture transactions on behalf of institutional clients.  Mr. Padden has been involved in various aspects of the investment advisory and venture capital industries since the 1980's and has been representing private and public companies in various corporate transactions throughout his legal career.  Mr. Padden also has a long history of doing business in and representing clients in Asia.  As Vice-Chairman of Rainbow Studios and as a director of several U.S. and Asia companies, he has spent a considerable amount of time during the past 20 years doing business in Asia with a focus on China and Korea.  Mr. Padden has been a practicing lawyer since 1982, most recently, with a large Phoenix Law firm following a merger with his own law firm of Allen, Price, Padden & Sanders.  His practice has focused on real estate law, corporate law, venture capital and international transactions.  He has been a Board or Advisory Board member of a variety of companies and has spoken at legal and business conferences on a various corporate topics.  He is a member of the American Bar Association, Business Law, Entertainment and International Law sections.  Mr. Padden holds a B.S. from the University of Virginia (with Distinction, Phi Kappa Phi) and a J.D. from the University of Texas Law School (with Honors, Order of the Coif).
